Brief Introduction:
Tempered glass (also called toughened glass) is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass. Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the inner surfaces into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury. This is why people also called it safe glass.
Frosted Acid Etched Glass:
Acid etched glass is also called Frosted glass. Frosted glass is made by corroding the surface of plane glass through the high-tech techniques to form the translucent fog effect, which brings a kind of dimmng beauty. Frosted glass has a distinctive, uniformly smooth and satin-like appearance.
Sandblasting is an age old technique used to make patterned glass for many different reasons. For decorative or privacy we can Sandblast any image onto the surface of glass.
During the sandblasting process, glass is placed into a sandblasting booth and a coarse grit is blasted at high pressure against the glass surface to give it that 'etched' finish.
